Howard Van Boerum developed a passion for drawing at a very young age and spent hours drawing perspectives of homes in his neighborhood. This talent led him to landing his first professional job as a draftsman at a civil engineering firm. For the next decade Howard honed his skills, earning his P.E. in 1967. John had worked for his father's sheet metal company and was adept with HVAC ductwork and systems.

I just called to inquire about the name Van Boerum. The history of my name derived from Boerum in the early 1900's my Dad born in 1923 Don Boirum but he had 11 brothers and sisters. They were born Boerum and later changed it! Van Boerum & Frank. The Secretary was very nice! This Van Boerum Guys, has gotta be cool! and I've never ate a bad Frank! Lol
