Tri-State Design and Development was founded in 1983 in Carnegie, PA as an Architectural/Engineering and Construction Management/Inspection corporation to provide services to public and private sector clients in the Western Region of Pennsylvania. The firm is owned and managed by a Registered Professional Engineer and has been certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE).
Tri-State Design and Development, with our comprehensive experience, is capable of interjecting new perspectives, developing fresh ideas, and viable alternatives to proposal challenges. Tri-State Design and Development, as a multi-discipline firm, is in an ideal position to meet the needs of our clients by offering an extensive range of engineering, planning and design services.
This project involved the replacement of a narrow 2-lane, 200' span through-truss bridge, and associated roadway. The geometry of the bridge approach was such that the grade of SR 1005 at the intersection with SR 1008 was of an unacceptable sub standard design. Our scope consisted of redesigning and raising a portion of SR 1008 approximately 7' from existing grade.
In addition to the Highway Design, Bridge Design, and Construction Management/Inspection Projects, Tri-State Design and Development has also been associated with a variety of facility projects. Our services included Structural, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical system related design services. Various Facilities - Minor to major improvements/renovations to various transit facilities throughout the system.
