Vector is by far the worst, most unprofessional engineering firm I've encountered. The project coordinator, and Engineer 1 has been late to every meeting we set up. He was clearly hungover and for $193/hr he was "afraid of spiders" and would not perform a crawlspace evaluation unless he had a "moon suit". He was at our property for only 45 minutes (after being late), didn't bring a tape measure, didn't bring a writing pad, didn't take any pictures of the foundation or structure. Attached is an image of the invoice I received.
The final report they submitted was clearly just a rip off of the home inspector's report. Benton Cook, the owner of this joke was instantly rude (and finally hung up on me) when I kindly asked for an explanation of why my bill was $1138. After threatening to sue me and put a lean on my house, I finally decided that Benton Cook must need the money more than I do, so I donated to the "I'm better than you because I'm an engineer" foundation.
