Three and one-half decades ago, without staff, office, or clients, I started a landscape architecture firm on a hope and a dream. My goals were to create an office that provided high value services, where staff could reach their professional goals, where clients and consultants could become our friends, and an environment where people enjoyed their work. I think that we were largely successful in achieving these goals over the past thirty-five years. I am so proud of what we have accomplished with our small, core team.

The current Park Street Library is one of the busiest yet smallest libraries in the seven-branch system. As a 2,000 SF space located on the corner of Park and Babcock Streets, the community has advocated for a better facility for 30 years. Two blocks away, on the corner of Park Street and Broad Street, a new branch of the Hartford Public Library will be constructed at the site of the historic Lyric Theatre. The deteriorated 93-year-old building sat vacant since a fire destroyed it in the late 1970s.
The redevelopment of Washington Village housing is a substantial, multi-phase project for the revitalization of the South Norwalk neighborhood. Portions of the neighborhood lie within a 100-year flood plain, and superstorm Sandy's damage was a call for action to include new storm-resilient infrastructure and housing.
Expansion and renovation of Center Village broadens the Town of Glastonbury's ability to meet the growing need for affordable elderly housing. To Design developed the site plan for the phased implementation of this modern 74-unit residential community that will serve senior citizens and provide all the necessary features for a comfortable retirement.
