Services
Technology Associates, was established in 1990 by former mechanical/aerospace engineer and university professor Dr. Irving Ojalvo, who has been applying advanced technology to reconstruct nearly two thousand accidents and aid in the related criminal and civil litigation since 1978. His computer analysis and biomechanics simulations, buttressed with a detailed knowledge of structural and dynamic behavior of materials, have been used in the service of both plaintiffs and defendants. The expert testimony of Dr. Ojalvo and his staff of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Biomechanical engineers, with advanced degrees and many publications, has often meant the difference of millions of dollars in settlements for his clients.
Our technical staff is comprised of engineers with advanced degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering and experience in both industrial and university settings. We have conducted nearly two thousand accident investigations, consultations and claims adjustments for both plaintiffs and defendants and we are skilled at communicating the essential technical aspects of various cases to laypeople. Our thoroughness, experience, high standards, honesty and attention to detail are geared to deliver an excellent product.
The following are original articles written by the Technology Associates staff. Though they do not encompass all our areas of expertise, they provide some detailed information about some of the common types of accidents we encounter on a regular basis. They also provide references to articles written by our engineers that have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Since 1990, we have been assisting attorneys, insurance adjusters, and their clients by applying our engineering expertise to determining the causes of accidents and injuries, thereby enabling them to make informed decisions on how to proceed with a case. Once the likely cause or causes of an accident are understood, we are in a position to weigh contributing factors, evaluate the opposing party's claims and offer expert opinions based upon the principles of science and engineering. We can answer questions regarding liability and the correlation of damages to a particular event.
