New Jersey Septic Management Group can quickly troubleshoot, identify and rectify the issues that have caused your septic system failure. Pumpouts ensure that sewage solids do not migrate out of the tank, which leads to problems in the drainage components and beyond. If problems are found during inspections or emergency troubleshooting New Jersey Septic Management Group will provide an estimate, and schedule your repairs quickly. Sometimes an existing Septic System is in need of expansion or upgrading because of changes in the home or it may require full replacement.
Services
We service both residential and commercial septic systems with the bulk of our business done in Somerset, Mercer and Hunterdon Counties. We continue our quest to be "A Green Technology Company" by using state-of-the-art equipment and environmentally friendly products. We offer advanced services to help prolong a system life while helping our customers become responsible septic system owners.
Branchburg is a Township in Somerset County, New Jersey. There are 5,741 properties within this township, and 14.34% are living with a Septic System while the remaining 85.66% is on Sewer. New Jersey Septic Management Group is available to assist realtors, the health department, and all residences by providing education about septic systems in Branchburg.
Regularly scheduled septic tank pumpouts are extremely important to help extend the longevity of your septic system. Pumpouts ensure that sewage solids do not migrate out of the tank, which leads to problems in the drainage components and beyond. NJSMG recommends homeowners to pumpout their septic tanks every 18 months-2 years as part of an overall septic maintenance program.
Complete inspections are done for a number of reasons, most often relating to real estate (property) transfers. For home buyers, a thorough inspection can point out the need for repairs, maintenance or even a full replacement. For home sellers, a pre-listing inspection can ensure that there are no surprises once their home is put on the market.

They live up to their reputation. For example, today I had a problem with the sceptic alarm. Instead of scheduling a repair visit, which would allow them to charge a service fee, they got on the phone and walked me through how to fix it myself. This kind of honesty is rare. We've had them maintain our sceptic for a number of years. Do not go anywhere else!

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness They told us it would take about 4-6 weeks since we moved in for the septic to be installed it's been 9 weeks with no updates they're extremely dismissive when we call and ask about when they're going to come install the septic. If you're considering getting your septic done by these guys.pick someone else I regret my decision. Service: Septic system installation

I have no clue why the the service that they provide the most wouldn't be listed first and foremost on the options here but, nonetheless. The business is located right down Route 601 from me and I see their trucks back and forth all day long. Their drivers are professional and courteous, and the employees local, while being employed with NJSMG for many years.
That being said, I've known their in-law Anthony for ages, and when I told him my septic tank needed to be pumped because of some other little strange occurrences, they were there the next day. The tank was pumped, they put down plywood so my grass wasn't crushed, and you wouldn't even known that they were there. The only sign that they had performed any work was that my plumbing was now working perfectly and a few finishing touches were done.
I was completely thrilled that everything was back to normal and I happened to run into Jason, one of the owners, to tell him so. He was so gracious and happy to hear the positive feedback. I told him that I was now a customer for life and that I would spread the word. If you read my reviews, I try to gravitate towards good, local businessman. Also, they have family running social media and are modern yet multi-generational company. Give them a call. Tell them Mike Stack sent you.

NJ Septic completed installation of our septic system in March but left the yard a mess, which they were also contracted for. They haven't returned any of my calls / voicemails over the past 2 months (I've called 6 times now, I've kept a log, speaking to Vicki 3 times and the rest voicemails). Our lawn is totally torn up - no grass, just piles of dirt and weeds.
We can't do any landscaping. It's now July. On the other hand, the workers, when they were here for the install, were really nice people and seemed to really care about the quality of the job. I think the poor communication and scheduling failure is an administrative issue. EDIT: They showed up early July to do the lawn install. Unannounced.just pulled up with tractors and started working.
I appreciate that the work was done (and again, the workers were great), but not having any heads up on the work being done meant I couldn't plan around having my driveway and one-lane access road blocked (so my neighbors were also blocked in/out while working was being done). Again, communication failure. This is an administrative issue. EDIT2: The guy who was apparently supposed to be in charge of this, Jason, called after reading this review - not to apologize for the communication failure - just to ask me to take down the review.

I spoke with the owner, Jason. He told me he would come to inspect my sewer line on a Wednesday. I called the next day to ask what he'd found, was told he'd call me. He did not. I called again a few days later, same thing. The following Tuesday two of his employees showed up, unannounced, to do the inspection. This is not the type of customer service I am comfortable with, especially when I am looking at a $4000 repair. I don't trust the company.

I had used this service several years ago for routine pumping my septic tank and it had worked fine at the time. This time around my septic tank alarm went off and I called them to do a pump-out AND inspect and service my septic pump which seemed to be malfunctioning. They came out relatively quickly for the pump-out after I called a few times and ended up talking to their Inspections Supervisor Tom who helped with the scheduling. However, after pumping both of my tanks (solids and liquids) out they told me that I needed a new pump installation and to schedule it with them if I agreed to their estimate.
Even though the estimate seemed a bit high I agreed, signed the document online and send it to them immediately. This was back at the beginning of the month (Jan 8). In the meantime the pump alarm went off again within two days of the pumping which clearly indicated an rather urgent issue with the system. Here is where the NIGHTMARE starts. For several days I tried communicating with the Tom and the company and they never once called me back to schedule the repair to my pump.
In the meantime I was worried that my tank wasn't pumping properly and that it would become a problem again before they had a chance to replace the pump, and I wrote to them repeatedly about that. Sure enough, 3 weeks later (Jan 29) I started seeing liquid backing up from my sewer line into my 1st floor bathtub and toilet! Since they don't even have an emergency call line, I had to find another contractor, farther away, but with an Emergency phone option, who promised to come out first thing Saturday morning to pump the tanks out again and repair/install my pump 1st thing Monday (weather permitting) or Tuesday.
So now I'm out almost $800 that the 1st pump-out cost since the new service will have to do another emergency pump-out before replacing my pump (at a lower estimated cost, BTW). This group's unprofessionalism in following up and scheduling this critical work has cost me both a lot of extra money and a lot of aggravation and hustle (we won't be able to use our water even to flush out toilets for more than half a day, until the new service comes to pump out in the morning!). I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE EVER AGAIN.

We have been clients of Septic Management Group for 8 years. Their service has been extraordinary. Communication is excellent regarding alerting us to scheduled visits. On site staff is very professional and engaging. Pricing is very reasonable. We intend to continue using their service for a long time to come.

Our potential home buyer hired Septic Management Group to inspect our septic system. Then the potential home buyer submit to us a laundry list of what Septic Management Group wants to fix themselves without giving us a report of their inspection - just the list of what they want to do themselves. There is clearly a potential or real conflict of interest being the inspector and the fixer in this type of situation. We have not even experienced any problem with our septic system. Beware.

Overall the crew was great but getting information, important information, in an appropriate timely manner was lacking. At the completion of the project opting to have the lawn restoration and final grading handled by NJ septic management, a truck and trailer used to spread the hay for covering the seed was driven right over the septic drainage field causing damage/an uneven surface to the newly graded and seeded ground.
I contacted Jason a week ago by e-mail to express my dissatisfaction and haven't received a reply. Update: 10/26/18 the crew from NJ Septic Management finally came back to repair the ruts. I am happy they finally responded to fix the damage but I would still caution using this company if you expect prompt call backs and clear communication, however the pricing was competitive and workmanship was probably above the standard, hence the edit from 1 to 4 stars.

Days before moving into our new home on 6-15-18, NJ Septic Management Group completed extensive septic work that was contracted with the prior owner of our home. Two weeks and a couple of heavy rainstorms later, a minor depression in the lawn was apparent. I contacted them by phone and was told that this was normal settling and to wait it out before someone came to remediate or I would be charged for the visit.
Fair enough. A couple of days later, after another heavy downpour, the minor depression gave way to a gaping 2.5' deep 1' circumference hole opened in the lawn exposing the pvc pipe as well as a deep fissure running perpendicularly from the house into the lawn. I called again and left a message for Jason and also sent an email attaching photos of the lawn.
After multiple calls leaving countless messages for Jason to get back to me, he finally contacted me on 7-11-18 and long story short, said that someone from NJ Septic would come out the week of 7-16-18 to fill the hole and reseed the disturbed area of the lawn. Since Monday, 7-16-18, I've been calling the office daily to get an idea of when someone would come out to the property so that I could arrange to be home leaving messages with either Liz or Vicky being told each of the five times I called that Jason is not available and that he would call me back.
It's now Thursday and still no call back. Even if Jason is so massively overwhelmed with work, to the point where he could not even pick up a phone, if he had in fact scheduled time for me, that could have been communicated to me by either Vicky or Liz. I can only assume that Jason is dodging me and has no intention at all of coming back to my property to remediate the gaping accident waiting to happen hole and the crevasse on my property.
If you decide to use this company be prepared to lower your expectations for customer service. In my line of work, customer care is paramount. Being the best at what you do is not enough. Without responsive customer service, you've got nothing. Expect less from this company because that's what you'll get.
