In 1974, two surveyors and a civil engineer started the firm called McGinnis, Olson & Rowland (MOR). For almost 10 years, they worked together providing excellent services for the Kitsap County area before the three founding partners each went their own way. Bob McGinnis started a separate firm specializing in surveying, while Clark Rowland began his long tenure with Parametrix. In the early 90's, Bob McGinnis decided to retire and Norm bought his surveying firm and all associated survey data and records.

I don't leave many reviews, but my experience working with N L Olson & Associates thus far has been so phenomenal that I just I had to say something! They've met our deliverable deadlines with quality work, they promptly and professionally respond to my (many) calls and emails, and their invoices are reliable (i.e. they have never 'surprised' me). When looking for an engineering firm on the peninsula, look no further!

Ya I will never use this company again. They came out said they will do a drawing. Well never heard from the guy had to email many times still no response. Finally my contractor gets ahold of him and gets the drawing. Well he does it wrong. Says he can't even remember the conversation we had. Next we are told we need the water lines and sewage lines drawn in for a site plan.
Well the guy still does it wrong. This has been a 6 month process meanwhile the keep sending me new bills yet I never receiving any new drawings from them. I send them an email asking why they are billing me hundreds of dollars for things I never received. Never even heard back. Long story short save yourself a headache and use someone else.

Don't ever bother to contacting with them I contacted with them about 10 days ago to get a proposal for our port orchard property, haven't heard from them followed up again earlier today still they don't have just the proposal ready for us, I can't imagine if just getting a proposal is going be a this long and hard how long will it take to get the actual job done? We are in service business too nowadays proving a proposal should take no more than an hour sometimes just 15 minutes is enough to provide a proposal!

The ball was dropped on my project because two bigger projects (which I was assured I was in front of and that Mr. Olsen said he'd sneak me through in front of them) took up their time. This cost me time and money, it was very unprofessional of him and his staff. Two phone messages did not get through to him aiding in this mess. Very dissatisfied.

Quick and responsive! A professional surveyor, James, took my call on the first try. He patiently explained the process and laid out my options. Trish followed up promptly with an agreement and said they could fit me in soon. They both sound very kind and cheerful. If I decide to go ahead with a survey (it's not cheap), I will go with Olson, because I feel confident that I will be in good hands.
