Services
SMG started business in the mid-1950's, primarily designing aggregate plants, including plant layout, civil design, design of conveyors, hoppers, crushers, screen towers, and other bulk material handling equipment and structures for the mining and dam industries. While SMG continues to design heavy industrial projects, we have broadened our experience to include not only bulk material handling, but industrial, structural, and civil design for a variety of products and industries.SMG also provides conceptual and feasibility reports, permitting services, and construction cost estimating.
SMG's experienced structural engineering department has established a strong reputation for award-winning, innovative designs. Project expertise extends not only to buildings, bridges and towers, but also to specialized structures, such as underwater pipe placing frames, crane trestles and automated structure rehabilitation enclosures.
For over forty years, SMG has provided design services for complete industrial plants, including port, waterfront and terminal facilities. From the inception of the project SMG can help owners make preliminary and conceptual decisions with cost estimates and feasibility studies. SMG provides civil, structural and mechanical design, in addition to preparing contract documents and acquiring necessary permits.
