Integrated Inspection Systems (IIS) is a provider of Engineering, Metrology, Machining, and database services. Integrated Inspection Systems was founded in 1995, starting in a residential basement with a desk, computer and a pair of calipers. The founders came from Precision Castparts Inc with various backgrounds. From 1995 to 1996 IIS worked on small business networking with windows 95. This created cash flow while the quality manual was being written. Once completed, a Zeiss CMM was leased from Hanard Machine in Salem Oregon.
Services
We operate three 3 axis and two 5 axis CNC's. All of our CNC's are linked to MetBase and driven by CMM data. We have real time, forwards and backwards (revision) control for all CMM and CNC part programs. IIS operates a proprietary 4 sigma targeting system that was developed in 2001, and have Target Machined in excess of one hundred thousand castings with a lifetime reject rate less than 1.7 castings per thousand ( 1/1000 in 2016). We are not aware of any other vendors or customers with this capability.
We provide a full array of Inspection services including First Article, Engineering Evaluation, PPAP, and Process Capability Studies. We operate nine Coordinate Measuring Machines for contact inspection and a Micro-Vu vision system for non-contact inspection. Our Senior Metrologists are GDT certified level III and all have had schooling in basic statistics needed for process evaluation. Our Coordinate Measuring Machines are networked with our proprietary MetBase data collection and revision control system.
MetBase is our own proprietary database software, written in house for our use. It provides ISO 9001 & AS9100 compliancy for traceability and retrievability of inspection data and all robotic programming. Metbase has full forward and backward revision control on all CMM/CNC programs and everything is managed from within.
Inspection currently has 9 CMM's dispersed between two labs. Our Engineering and Metrology lab contains 3 Zeiss scanning head CMM's and one Brown and Sharpe, and our Production lab contains 4 Sheffield CMM's and one Aims Revolution CMM. All of the CMM's that are not Zeiss have Renishaw articulating heads.
