American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington (ACEC Washington) works to support and strengthen the consulting industry by providing networking and training events, advocacy with State and City governments, and group Insurance and Retirement Programs. ACEC is the professional trade association representing consulting engineering firms, land surveyors, planners, and scientists in all engineering disciplines throughout Washington.
To advance a business environment that enables our professional members' firms to deliver safe, impactful and sustainable solutions. ACEC Washington relies on ACEC to provide organization and guidance on national issues and ACEC Washington will support the ACEC Strategic Plan. To continue to be the lead organization promoting the business interests of companies providing professional knowledge and services for the built and natural environment.
To be successful at taking on higher levels of leadership responsibility and prepare for the demands of being owners and executives, new practice builders need specific and relevant training in the intricacies of leading an A/E firm in ever-changing, always uncertain economic times. Core Competencies for Professionals, (CCP) is an integrated series of nine seminars that provides a regional, affordable, and accessible means to train key staff.
The engineering profession has always been grounded in integrity, fairness and service to community. Engineers build communities. We create space and by extension, we create social experience. We support equality and respect for all humankind. We believe in providing equitable opportunities within our profession to support untapped potential both within our workforce and within the communities we serve. And we have the power to foster progress by breaking down the physical barriers that can inhibit economic and social equity.
