Pickett, Kelm & Associates, Inc. (PKA) is a consulting engineering firm formed to provide professional structural engineering services to clients in the public, institutional, industrial and commercial market sectors. The firm occupies leased office space at 4100 Duval Road, Building 4, Suite 103 in northwest Austin, Texas.

The cornerstone of PKA's business philosophy is quality, in terms of service and engineering design and documentation. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated by PKA's development of structural designs through thorough and careful technical analyses; the establishment of design schedules and management of manpower to achieve them; the production of drawings and specifications through teamwork, collaboration and coordination with the other disciplines involved; the production of complete, coordinated and properly detailed construction drawings and specifications; close communication with the client and, during construction, the contractor; and the prompt response to questions, requests for information and the submittal of shop drawings and product submittals for review.

PKA provides structural engineering services for all types of projects. Using state-of-the-art analysis and design software, structural systems analyses are performed for gravity and lateral load resisting elements for each project to determine the structural systems and materials best suited to the specific project conditions and requirements.

PKA has been responsible for the structural engineering design and construction phase support for a range of project types, both public and private, including educational facilities, religious facilities, office and other commercial buildings, parking garages, sports stadiums, recreational and athletic facilities, pump stations, lift stations and other public works facilities, highway, pedestrian and golf cart bridges, retaining walls and small dams.
