Frank L. Bennardo is a professional engineer licensed in 26 states in the US. He has combined his experience as a structural engineer, licensed general contractor, and his 12 years as an expert witness with the Florida Department of Transportation to create companies that have reshaped the construction industry.
Founder of Engineering Express, Mr. Bennardo brought unprecedented structure to building envelope consulting, product evaluations, and specialty structural engineering projects. The company's unique systematized approach to engineering was responsible for massive forensic analysis and redesigns of in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons bringing continued national attention to his firm.
In 2005, he recognized the need for a product to encapsulate lightweight structures during high wind events which led to his formation of CAT-5 Protection, Inc., a company that manufactured his patented Hurricane Netting System. In 2008, he formed Endymion Blue, LLC, a company that redesigned the way building product evaluation information is used in the cloud leading to the nationally acclaimed highly successful website ApprovalZOOM.com and its network of affiliates.
This unique combination of expertise has elevated him to become a nationally sought after building envelope consultant and a leading storm damage evaluation expert. He has consulted on significant structures in New York City, Texas, and across Florida and performed inspections and provided forensic expert witness testimony to hundreds of damaged buildings affected by storms in Florida, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Mr. Bennardo frequently speaks at engagements across the country pursuing increased awareness to building product and system design & installation.
