At RECo, we are engineers, manufacturers, project managers, and team players. We provide retaining walls and other geotechnical structures for heavy civil engineering projects throughout the entire U.S. 2021 marked our 50th anniversary in the United States. We began in 1971 by working with Caltrans on a massive landslide repair in the Angeles National Forest, using a newly patented retaining wall system called Reinforced Earth. Since then, our engineers have led the industry in researching and advancing the MSE technology, while building on our array of retaining wall types and other solutions.

Through a thorough understanding of the unique characteristics of each geographical market, the development of strong professional relationships with Owners, Consultant Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers, and an appreciation of the technical challenges unique to each location, there are few challenges and applications that we have not encountered.
The Reinforced Earth Company (RECo) is a civil engineering design company and supplier of materials for retaining walls, arches, sound walls, and related structures. We are recognized as the inventor of modern Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) retaining walls. Operating as a separate entity in the United States since 1971, we are affiliated with the global group Terre Armee.

The Reinforced Earth Company's corporate office in Sterling, Virginia is located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In addition to corporate departments, our headquarters provides engineering for our Northeast Division, which consists of four regions divided to maximize our client care. Our sales representatives for two of the regions are based in this office.
