Our office is centrally located in the greater Harrisburg area. Akens Engineering holds Professional Engineering licenses in: Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio. The firm also has licensure in Pennsylvania for: Geology, Surveying, Blasting for Surface Mining, Sewage Treatment Plant Operation, as well as Sewage Enforcement.

Akens Engineering Associates was founded in 1983 by George Akens and has remained a family business ever since. Their business practice is based on integrity and honesty. In 2008, Scott Akens and Rick Caranfa took over the businesses but have not changed those core principles.
