The Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) established GEONOR A/S in 1957 to manufacture geotechnical instrumentation and test equipment for the work and research NGI was doing. In 1985, at the request of GEONOR A/S in Norway, GEONOR, Inc. was established in the United States to serve and supply GEONOR products to customers in the Americas (USA, Canada, and Latin America).
The Minimate Plus vibration monitor offers unrivalled features and versatility in a small, rugged and easy-to-use package. The system is portable so it is ideal for short term monitoring applications. It is also flexible enough to be easily integrated into permanent remote monitor stations using auxiliary power and wired or wireless telemetry.
The piezometer can be pressed down without pre-drilling, normally until approximately 30 m depth. Intended for O32 mm extension tube. Adapters to 1 water pipe can be delivered. Vibrating Wire Piezometers allow for measurements of pore water pressure under the most adverse conditions. Multi-point Piezometer Strings allow for multiple Vibrating Wire Piezometers to be connected on a single cable. This facilitates the installation of fully grouted multiple piezometers. The single cable prevents vertical void channels.
Vibrating Wire Strain Gauges are designed to be welded to or embedded in various structures for monitoring strain. Vibrating Wire Rebar Strain Meters / Sister Bars are designed to be embedded in concrete for the purpose of measuring concrete strains due to imposed loads. Vibrating Wire Load Cells provide measurement of loads in tie-backs, struts, ground anchors and rock bolts.
