Horrible customer service. The fans themselves are marginal at best. I needed a part that was broke when I received my fan. Sent an email to the customer service desk asking to purchase the part. Ernest M. Sent me a rambling email about sending it to another company for warranty work? I never requested them to fix it. I simply wanted to buy a replacement part. They are a train wreck. I am sure there are much better companies out there. Ill never buy a Hunter fan again.

The guy I spoke with about my Hunter ceiling fan model number 59224 told me the issue Im having with my Hunter ceiling fan light is one they already know about and he walked me through steps to reset it, within minutes it was doing the same thing, flickering like a strobe light & because its all built into each other, the light, the fan etc I can only buy a new ceiling fan, there is no fix.
He offered me a discount on a new ceiling fan, I am not going to put money into another ceiling fan brand that Ive had issues with, Im very disappointed in Hunter for handling the situation this way. I paid $400 for this ceiling fan and it lasted 3 or 4 years. The fan should have been recalled by Hunter.

We purchased 4 outdoor hunter fans - one came with a faulty switch - while the fans are nice I have been trying to get a replacement switch for over one month with no success. I filed a claim on - line and keep getting the same request to provide info that I have provided multiple times. I have called and they never return my call. Their customer service is horrible. If you purchase a fan you better hope nothing is wrong with it.

I am so mad at Hunter Fan company. I have 5 Hunter Original fans in my house and 2 of them have bad 3 way chain pull switches. I contacted Hunter to get the replacement parts and they said they don't sell that replacement part, that if I had the proof of purchase they would send me a new fan otherwise they suggested that I buy new fans. Are you kidding me?
These fans cost $500 each and NO I don't have proof of purchase. I just want to replace the 3 way switch. They wouldn't recommend a comparable replacement either. Your only option is to buy new fans they told me in 3 different emails. This is ridiculous. First it's a simple part. Just send me a couple. Second, Who keeps their proof of purchase?
Likely not many people. So, their Lifetime warranty is probably very rarely honored which is genius if you don't plan to stand behind your fans. They would send a new $500 fan but will not send a simple part. How mind numbingly stupid of a customer service response. I always liked Hunter Originals because they are a good fan overall. Unless you have trouble. Then, it's Oh, if you don't have proof of purchase you'll just have to buy a whole new fan. I get it! But, it won't be a Hunter ever again. Mark Brant Monroe Mi

We spent over $750 on Hunter.com ordering 4 fans for our new home. Then bought another Hunter fan on Lowes.com. We spent over $1k on Hunter products this month. We are loyal Hunter customers. Anytime we buy a new home or rental, we outfit it with Hunter fans. Their great quality and I love Hunter customer service until today. Talia, "support specialist" took my call today.
She was an absolute nightmare. Beyond rude. I hung up within a few minutes of speaking to her and called back requesting a supervisor. The supervisor was polite but seemed unbothered by Talias outburst nor was he remotely concerned that Talia continued to harass me thru email after I hung up on her. I love Hunter products but I am beyond disappointed with Talias foul attitude. I'm shocked that she had the audacity to continue her tantrum thru email after I hung up on her.
I truly hope & pray disciplinary action is taken to correct Talias behavior or she's moved to another department because that woman doesn't belong in customer service. She is extremely unpleasant and has zero people skills.

I have a 16 year old ceiling fan made by Hunter. It has a remote control that controls speed and direction. The remote is becoming faulty, which could be expected for a low tech device like this. Hunter cannot reference the remote in their system and is of absolutely no help. I've given them the remote model number and they tell me they cannot replace it and don't know how I can replace it. They are very slow to respond and seem little interested in customer service. I will never ever buy another Hunter fan.

Giving one star because it won't allow me to give anything lower. Bought a Hunter fan 2 months ago. Finally got it installed by a professional certified electrician. The fan worked for 1 week and then completely stopped working. Unfortunately my husband paid cash and is not good with keeping receipts. We called Hunter customer service and explained what happened in hopes that they would replace the fan and have us box up the old one and send it back.
The woman on the phone had zero customer service and told us that it was unfortunate that this happened but without a receipt there is nothing that she could do. I even explained that we paid alot of money to have it installed but it fell on deaf ears and basically hung up the phone. This company should be ashamed of themselves selling faulty fans to customers and not willing to make it right. There are 49 bad reviews. This company should be sued!

Once a solid name in the ceiling fan world, they have lost future business with me. Five identical model fans installed in my home when built, back in 2005, and one was warrantied five years back for failure. Attempted to warranty another this summer and was told they can't honor their lifetime warranty without original receipt. I shared my home build information from when the home was built like I previously had and again was told they can't honor it. If you want a company that stands behind their product and honors their warranty, look at other options.

I used to love Hunter Fans but their horrible customer service makes me sorry I just bought 2 for an addition. They have misleading descriptions on their website. Customer service is impossible to reach. In my case I bought a replacement part and in doing so they offered me the chance to send the original back for a refund. No mention made of a charge.
But then I suddenly got a $60 invoice. I didn't even return the item and not sure I plan to. The disorganization and lack of customer care is a joke! What happened to this company? They used to be awesome!

I purchased a fan and the glass globe was broken. It happens, but packaging was not adequate. I contacted them and after a few emails proving I purchased a fan, they said they didn't have any replacement globes until September. So they would send me a new fan. I'm supposed to remove the globe and send the fan back. They would include a prepaid shipper to return.
They did send a new fan. The globe was intact, but again packaging was poor. Of course no prepaid shipper was attached. After two more ridiculous emails they said prepaid shipper is attached to the email, not the product. The link to the shipper is not identified as such. Now I have to go to a FedEx office to send this back. This is totally ridiculous.
This is not customer service. It's customer abuse. I hope the fan lasts as I would rather buy a new fan of a different brand rather than go through this ridiculous process again.

Purchased two of their faulty ceiling fans. First one the fan itself did not work and the second had a faulty pull chain switch for the light. After paying an electrician twice to install it already I contacted support to see if I could get a working part to replace the faulty pull chain with and Ashley submits a link for me to purchase it. Welp, back to Lowes I go again to return this fan and have learned to stay far away from future Hunter purchases.

Installed matching Hunter fans in all of the common areas of my home about 4 years ago. One of the lights went out 2 weeks ago. After doing research on line and being unsuccessful in getting it to work, I contacted Hunter directly with the model number and the problem. At first, they were helpful, but then decided the fan was "obsolete" and they don't make the part (light kit) for that fan model anymore but did offer me a 30% discount if I ordered a new fan from them.
Even with the 30% discount, the fans directly from the company are at least $50 more than if I ordered from Amazon. I found one that matched pretty closely on Amazon. My husband attached the light kit from the new fan to the existing fan and it worked and fit perfectly. So, now we have a brand new fan, minus a light kit, that we have no use for and spent unnecessary money on.
I emailed the company and told them this and asked why they couldn't have simply offered me a light kit that would fit. (They know it would fit, they aren't stupid, it's their product!) Their reply had nothing to do with my email. They again told me I would need to purchase an after market part or a new fan. Bottom line is, they would rather have you spend money on a new product than help you fix your existing product. Too bad Hunter. Too bad.

Bought 4 hunter fans. The most expensive of which was defective. After installing the fan and turning it on, the fan switch would turn on the light and the light switch would turn off the light. Continuing to turn the switches on and off the symptoms would change and the light switch would turn on the light and fan switch would turn the fan on and the light off.
There were many strange configurations to the way the fan would react to turning the two switches on and off. I called in to Hunter and after a half hour of explaining what was going on to a sales rep and having him mansplain to me (I am also a man who he called ma'am multiple times) how to install a ceiling fan (I have installed between 30 and 50 ceiling fans in the past ten years) we were finally able to establish that the control module for the fan was in fact defective.
After making me provide proof of purchase the rep sent me a list of fans I could choose from to replace my current fan and told me to respond to the email with my choice and then a shipping label would be sent to me to return the defective fan. He apologize for the inconvenience and was decently cordial about how frustrating the situation had become.
After fighting the fan for an additional 45 minutes, I was able to get the fan off the ceiling. The fan was not intended to be uninstalled as it has spring-loaded clips, that once they snap in, the locking mechanism is no longer accessible. I have had the fan boxed up and ready to go for almost two weeks now. Hunter finally responded to my email to let me know that my fan is too old for them to service (even though I bought it a week prior to all of this) and that they would not be replacing my fan.
They gave me an address where I could buy replacement parts for my fan. RAGE. Will never buy a Hunter fan or Casablanca fan (the actual manufacture of this fan). I have been a very loyal customer for years. In my own home I currently have 7 Hunter and Casablanca fans and they just might come down out of principle. I will forever discourage and warn people from buying a Hunter/Casablanca fan.
I will no longer install Hunter/Casablanca fans for anyone else (which is actually substantial because I am everyone's handyman.) Save yourself some trouble and buy something of quality from a company that will actually take care of you when something goes wrong.

This company is very unfair. They claim to have a lifetime warranty on their fan motors but good luck when it burns out. They sold me a new wire harness instead of making good on the motor. The motor still does not work properly. Slow, noisy, and burning smell the same as the original wire harness. Trying to call customer service and get no answer. This product was originally purchased from Home Depot. Never again. Nice looking fan though.

Yet more in the continuing saga of this worthless company. We had two fans in which the lights stopped working after only a modicum of use in less than a year. We replaced the lights with new ones. Still didn't work, so lights weren't the problem. Hunter Fans informs us that they don't carry the light kit for our expensive fancy fans with the retractable transparent blades any more, but they'll give us a discount on new products.
Then they offer to send us new fans. Then they change their minds, saying they "have to look into that more." So- no lights in expensive Hunter fans for us, and no help. Don't buy fans from this company.

Oh my. I am so sorry to read some of the negative reviews, but plainly my experience was AMAZING! When I turned on my Hunter Fan Light, it came on then went out. I checked and one of the two bulbs was burnt, but that should not have prevented the other bulb from working. Thinking I needed a Light Assembly, I ordered one. However, when it did not ship within two days I did a followup, only to discover that they do not ship to a P.O. Box. That's easy to fix, but I was notified that I had not only ordered the wrong part, based on the Model Number, but that they did not think the Light Assembly was the problem.
Without me even asking, they decided to send me the Correct Light Assembly, and threw in the Wire Harness, that they believed was the problem. They even instructed me on how to install the Wire Harness. In my mind, this company takes Customer Service to an entirely different level. If there were another Five Stars, I would have included them. Thank You, Hunter Fan Customer Service. Sincerely, FPS

I researched a product online, ordered it, only after it processed the order was the shipping charge revealed. I immediately responded to the confirmation e that I wanted to cancel. No response from them. No help in the 3 phone calls I then made. If I return the product, I'll still be charged the shipping. Never again.

OK this was as worthless of an email as I could have gotten. I have the manual and i specifically asked about putting up with no fan kit. Your instructions reference the same page I have been trying to access. When you click the English instructions you get File not found. This is after waiting a week for a response. I have tried your computerized phone line but it bounces to where it hangs up on me despite my input.
I will take the fan down and take it back to Home Depot tonight. You guys can deal with the pieces. Honestly this has to be the crappiest customer service I have had in some time. I replaced another fan with a Hunter earlier this year and had no issues. Now I will have to move on to another brand. I will post this to the BBB, Yelp, Amazon and Google Reviews web sites in hopes it saves others from this experience.
I am also going to send it to john Alexander, CEO, as I am sure he would want to know what the consumers are facing with the company he runs. I expected more from what I thought was the best name in fans.

Casablanca fans from Hunter is almost as big of a joke as the service you get. I wish I had read the reviews first. I bought 2. One works and the other makes a horrible noise above my head in the bedroom of course. I called the company to get the name of people to repair a brand new fan. One technician was injured. The other would not travel from Brooklyn to Manhattan to repair the fan. What kind of crazy service is this? So i guess I have to pay to have the fan uninstalled and bring in for a refund. I will never buy another Hunter product. EVER!
