I had engineering plans for a single family house made by a different firm (DWSmith) that PS&S acquired. PS&S was not willing to sign off on those plans, and insisted on a redesign. This redesign was quoted by them as a potential cost saving measure, but after I got quotes from contractors the actual cost was far more than that and entirely out of my budget.
To put it into perspective, the proposed retaining wall would have likely cost nearly as much as the actual house. PS&S did not adequately follow up on my concerns about this, and now I'm stuck with no engineering plans and thousands of dollars down the drain without functional plans that I can submit to the township. It's been over two years since DWSmith has started on the plans, and eight months since PS&S informed me that plans would need a redesign.
I've had to start the engineering process over (likely from scratch) at a different firm, and I've already recieved feedback from other firms that the design can be implemented within my budget. PS&S is not following up on my requests for refunds for two weeks currently. There's been a number of delays during the process most of which I could understand due to the pandemic for example, but at this point I'm done being patient and just want my money back for services that the firm was unable or unwilling to provide solutions to.
The wasted time is of course nothing I can ever get back, and my family is still without a house. Definitely would not recommend PS&S to anyone, and especially not for smaller projects.
