Our expertise in structural & civil engineering & planning is backed by a commitment to honest work that serves the needs of owners and industry professionals alike. We define quality of engineering in terms of constructibility. Designing a constructible project requires us to simultaneously engage in big picture planning while also handling the smallest details of design. Success depends on specialized expertise, a long history of diverse project experience and the energy to employ creative problem solving.

CG Engineering was founded by Chevy Chase and Greg Guillen in 1997 with the goal of creating an engineering firm where important core values could thrive. From the beginning, C&G placed an emphasis on providing efficient, high-quality work, excellent customer service and a family-friendly environment with work/life balance for employees.
Our residential project experience includes custom homes, multi-family developments, and affordable senior housing. We can also help with remodels, additions, and repairs. We often work with developers and architects on larger-scale residential projects, but some of our most popular residential services are retaining wall design, foundation repair design, and slope stabilization where we work directly with homeowners.
Our commercial project experience includes everything from simple tenant improvements to large-scale remodels and new construction. We've provided engineering for new luxury car dealerships, big box stores, retail centers, and car washes. But we also help with projects as small as securing a piece of artwork to the ceiling or adding a new awning outside a retail shop. These are some of the commercial projects that represent the wide variety of commercial work we do.
Our institutional project experience has included schools, churches, universities, and assisted living facilities. We can help an organization choose the right building site by performing feasibility research on raw land, completing site planning, and developing civil engineering and structural engineering plans for the finished structure.
