Dan is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer. He has been involved in over 5,000 cases in his career. Dan graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has been active in the field of forensic engineering since 1987, forming his own consulting firm in 1999 when he founded OnSite Engineering & Forensic Services, Inc. located in Prior Lake, MN.
OnSite Engineering provides forensic electrical and mechanical engineering services throughout the United States and Internationally. Our electrical engineering staff handle losses due to failure, fire or electrocution, and vehicle fires. Our mechanical engineering staff specializes in natural and propane gas fires and explosions, plumbing and appliance failures resulting in water loss, and vehicle fires. Our staff is proficient in field investigations from small to large loss, laboratory testing and examinations, and expert witness testimony.
OnSite Engineering & Forensic Services, Inc. has two, state of the art laboratories at their facility in Prior Lake, MN. OnSite Engineering has a mobile lab which can be brought to scenes and includes the ability to x-ray artifacts and acquire data on-site. Our forensic laboratory capabilities include digital x-ray, 3-D microscopic photography and data acquisition. Our facility has the capability to hold exams on large artifacts utilizing lifts.
