We take pride in our ability to provide quality consulting services. As a professional consulting firm the most important key to our success is the relationship we develop with our clients. We strive to listen and understand each client's distinctive needs and requirements, each client's unique operational parameters.
Every Cent Counts: The mining industry is not immune to a changing world. Regulatory issues, environmental concerns, and razor-sharp competition requires mine operators to produce more economically tomorrow than they do today. You cannot control public sentiment or the cost of a part, but you can intelligently plan your mining operation to save and these savings can be found if you know what to look for.
First and Only Operating Underground Aggregate Operation in NY. Continental Placer designed and aided in the development of the first underground aggregate operation in the Northeast. The site was a former surface quarry, mining gneissic schist. The underground design was chosen based upon an projected operational costs and the hesitation of municipal leaders to continue surface mining expansion. The underground mine mitigated potential environmental impacts and successfully operates as a major aggregate producer.
Hydrogeologic Services to Develop Well Head Protection Area. Continental Placer provided hydrogeologic services to develop and evaluate a Well Head Protection Area (WHPA) program for the Town of Guilderland. The WHPA was developed based on USEPA and NYSDEC recommended guidelines. The services included a hydrogeologic evaluation to determine an appropriate delineation method.
