Quartus is a leader in aircraft structural and aeroelastic analysis with decades of combined aircraft experience. By leveraging the combined knowledge and diverse technical backgrounds of our engineers, Quartus has made great contributions to the development of a range of vehicles from the commercial sector to experimental Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (EVTOL) platforms.
Quartus has designed and built ground and space-based laser communication terminals, including: gimble mechanics for tracking and pointing; atmospheric modeling and implementation of fast steering mirrors and adaptive optics; telescopes; and optical heads. Quartus has delivered and commissioned a complete ground terminal and low earth orbit optical head for free space laser communication.
Quartus was founded in 1997, and the first project ever undertaken was dynamic analysis of the Space Shuttle solid rocket motors. That expertise has been a constant factor through the years, continuing to this day with project experience on ARES, the SLS, and others. The variety of analysis ranges from CFD; vibro-acoustics; dynamic structural analysis, and has been performed on multiple components including flight instrumentation; solid rocket motors; crew compartments; and propulsion systems.Whether analysis is needed at launch, descent, or any stage in between, Quartus engineers have the expertise to get the job done right.
