Untreated and uncontrolled stormwater runoff is the number one cause of impairment in local Pennsylvania waterways. Polluted runoff is often transported through municipal stormwater systems where it is eventually discharged into streams and rivers. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established a municipal stormwater management program known as the MS4 program.
All third party agencies that provide Uniform Construction Code (UCC) services must be certified by the Department of Labor and Industry. Once certified, these agencies may provide code services under contract with a municpality of the Commonwealth and for owners of residential construction projects in any municipality that has opted not to enforce the Uniform Construction Code.
