The Columbia Group can trace its roots back to 1967, when Columbia Research Corporation (CRC) was founded. For over 35 years, CRC supported several military programs with expertise in engineering, logistics and acquisition. Then, in 2005, President, Martin Arase, formed The Columbia Group by acquiring CRC and merging it with CPI., a financial management and information technology services provider he had founded in 1983.
The Columbia Group provides expertise and skilled personnel to our defense, federal, state/local, and commercial customers in the areas of acquisition management, engineering (including underwater vehicles and ship design), integrated logistics, information technology, financial management, training and program management.

The Columbia Group has a portfolio of prime contracts with which to reach our customers that include: GSA Schedules, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) task order contracts, Multiple Award Schedules (MAS), and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). We are a team member on contract vehicles for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Army.
