My name is David, I'm the owner. I think DHR is three stars, there are good qualities, but I want to do better! My linked in page ("David Recht civil engineer Texas") has more information. One job I enjoyed was working on a floodplain analysis for our Comptroller, Joele Dupont (see her review).

Do not trust this company(if they're even considered a company) David Recht, which took our job never completed the work after 2 years of making up excuses after excuses still no drawings from David but he did ask for another 10,000 which no one in their right mind would pay him after 2 years of no accomplishments. He would at times meet up with us at his so called meetings and speak his own lingo to make it all sound good and professional but no plans ever.

We may have thought he was just a scammer but did some research and didnt find out if he is legit but know know why he cant complete a project. He took 10,000 from us and in return we got nothing but reviews, law suit and a complaint that we filed with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and waiting to hear back from them. David has caused us years and tens of Thousands of dollara of lost plus his 10,000 scam. Please beware and DO NOT trust David Recht. We have all documents showing proof. (P.S only two good reviews is David the Owner and Joele his secretary)

When I went to purchase my home, the mortgage company said I was in a flood zone. David was able to use measurements and photos to show different elevations on my property. He was able to get a FEMA reclassification showing my house was not in a flood zone even if parts of my land were. After that, he identified my load bearing walls so I could remodel inside I got what i needed and what i paid for. No complaints.

Very unprofessional. We had to constantly reach out and follow up with DHR because they would not respond, they missed or were late for every appointment they scheduled with us. Seems like it was just a money grab to get the 50% deposit up front and then not do any work. The owner needed to postpone our call to the next day because he had to pick up his kids from school, didn't ever hear from him again until I sent an email 2 months later asking about a refund for nonperformance of his contract.
