E fox has been trading for many, many years. I used to go to them way back when they were in Walkinstown for bearings. I called out to them because i had a bearing problem and needed expert advice that other bearing factors were unable to provide. They sorted me out and had the bearings required for a 1950 surface grinder. I was a bit gobsmacked at that, i was expecting them to be on backorder.
Then i asked about a bearing for my 1958 BSA motorcycle. Guy says hold on and comes back with an old bearing catalogue from the fifties and we found the bearing required in it. Then he was kind enough to photocopy the whole catalogue and bind it for me. Good old fashioned service from professionals who know their business. Something that rare these days. 5 stars from me.

Was onto another bearing supply company in Athlone had dealt with them before but guy on the phone had no more interest in what I was looking for the day I rang, told him measurements of bearings and he just said no we don't have that try the internet. Well thanks for that I did try the internet and I found Fox Engineering. They were great had exactly what I wanted in stock in good quality SKF bearings. I paid, they posted, got them the next day. Job done. They even sent a catalogue with my order full of all the nice stuff they do. Will definitely be using them again.

This is one of those essential stores that you need to know of if you are professional or do DIY and need some technical tools - eg to work on a car. I needed bearings for a trailer, was offered a choice at a very reasonable rate, and was tempted to go on a shopping spree for lots of other things I "need": for my shed! Welders, Bearing Pullers, Greasers - all items that are overpriced in any other hardware stores. Great experience - added to my phone contacts for future reference!
