Copenhagenizing America: Unleashing the Power of Active Transportation to Fight Climate Change. A major cause of climate change is the country's greenhouse gas emissions that come from transportation. Reworking our communities to emphasize active transportation methods can play a large role in reducing the toll it takes on our environment. The site helps practitioners effectively use the MUTCD in the design, selection, placement, and operation of traffic control devices and helps attorneys understand the role of the MUTCD in tort liability cases.
Services
Whether we're recommending improvements for a single intersection or helping communities plan for automated vehicles, we love tackling transportation challenges through planning, operations, design and research. We're a diverse, interconnected group of people working nationwide and operating as "one office in many locations."
Kittelson's strength draws from our connectedness as a firm. Our offices work together seamlessly and collaboratively, allowing staff to share perspectives and discover new and innovative solutions for our clients and communities. We invite you to peruse our locations below, and meet the people who call these offices home. Or better yet, stop by and visit!
At Kittelson, we believe people are at their best when they're writing their own script. Autonomy and outward focus define our employees and our company culture. We seek potential employees who want a career, not a job - who share our desire to partner with clients to improve quality of life in the communities we serve through a lens of innovation and equity.
Our firm has provided transportation engineering, planning, and research services to government agencies, municipalities, and private organizations since 1985. Our staff lead national research projects, mentor one another, provide training and guidance for industry professionals, and above all, continually look for ways to improve the value of our work.

Let me start with the people. They are all great. I've met almost all of them and each is gradually becoming a great friend. Now the place. While the florescent lighting wasn't exactly relaxing, this is, first and foremost, an office place. Overall 5/5 would come back again.
